Chelsea Wolfe

Chelsea Wolfe’s career started on the wrong foot when in 2006, she wrote and recorded the material for what was to be her first album, Mistake in Parting. However, she quickly decided it was too pretentious and the songs too bad to be officially released, so she scrapped the project and took a break from music.

She returned to songwriting in 2010 and debuted with the album “The Grime and the Glow”. Thanks to her cover of Burzum’s “Black Spell of Destruction,” Wolfe became more and more prominent in the underground scene, with her sophomore album, Apokalypsis, earning her a permanent spot. With her following albums, “Pain is Beauty” and “Abyss”, the American singer-songwriter started breaking through into the mainstream (the latter album even debuted on the Billboard 200 chart) and became one of the most acclaimed figures on the contemporary metal-adjacent scene.

Still an artist of distinguished stature, her upcoming album, “She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She” (her first in five years, premiering on February 9th, 2024), will be released under the prestige label, Loma Vista.
