A band that plays a classic and raw speed/thrash (that’s definitely inspired by the achievements of the Europeans in this field) with extreme venom? No problem. Hellfuck – i.e. a band whose members include three Embrional bandmates, who are also coming to this edition of Mystic – chops and grinds, all within the framework of traditionally understood metal. Nothing new, nothing experimental, just pure old-school.
History:
Hellfuck was formed in 2021, but the bandmates have been active on the scene – specifically on the black and death metal scene – a lot longer. The band comprises old stagers whose resumes include Embrional, Squash Bowels, Stillborn, and Azarath, among others. After years of high-gear playing, the artists wanted a side project that would allow them to be just as diabolic as in their other bands, but with classic speed/thrash metal cuts taking over the musical extreme. This self-conceptualisation has thus far produced one well-received full-length record – “Diabolic Slaughter” from 2022.
