Kadavar

Lots of beards, lots of psychedelics and a smoke of unclear origins, lots of rock – the German Kadavar is sure to be a great festival experience. They’ve been active for almost a decade and a half, and their style is a rock amalgam, full of the 70s acid, stoner fuzz amped up to the max and a bit of hard rock hedonism. Be prepared for an assiduous drive, riff to riff, that you won’t forget anytime soon.

History:

Kadavar’s journey started in 2010 in Berlin. That’s where two good friends, Christoph Bartelt and Philipp Lippitz, started jamming, no risk, no plans. It all changed when the group was joined by the vocalist, Christoph Lindemann. That’s when they first began recording and creating their own style. In 2012, the group worked hard, releasing two albums – a self-titled debut and “White Ring”, recorded in cooperation with Aqua Nebula Oscillator.

The crew started getting good reviews in the stoner community, and besides touring in Europe, you can see them in the USA. The money keeps on flowing, which is visible on their second fully orignal album, “Abra Kadavar”. The material, released by Nuclear Blast, skyrocketed onto the German charts and blew wind in their sails. Since then, the formation has released five albums (one in collaboration with Elder) and remains one of the most important names in the European stoner rock. Since 2023, they have operated as a quartet, no longer a trio.
