Dark Funeral

Dark Funeral’s story began in Stockholm in 1993. All because of Lord Ahriman and Blackmoon who wanted to shake the metal world up and show that they are able to create the sound equivalent of hell. Their first EP, “Dark Funeral”, gathered the interest of the black metal underground. Less than two years later the group presented their debut album, “The Secrets of the Black Arts”, to the world and their painfully wrathful sound bought the maniacs starving for venom. Their next releases, including “Vobiscum Satanas” and “Diabolis Interim”, cemented Dark Funeral’s position as one of the most important bands of the dynamically expanding scene of Swedish black metal. Despite many difficulties, the band continued their efforts, and their concerts are known for maximum intensity. Currently, the Swedes’ latest release is the 2022 “We Are the Apocalypse”, which continues the tradition of dark, brutal and uncompromising black metal, for which we love them the most. Thanks to their continual consistency, the crew, led by Lord Ahriman, remains one of the most important in the world of the darkest of the arts.
