Eight more bands are joining the Mystic Festival program – we have cult acts here and fantastic newcomers just starting to write their history.
It’s going to be four very intense days. Heavyweight riffs will be delivered by American masters Crowbar, but also the sensation of recent seasons from the UK, namely Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. In the latter’s music bleakness of doom contrasts with free-flowing, psychedelic rock and roll.
Death worshippers Blasphemy are not coming to Gdansk in peace – the cult Canadian band will wreak havoc and destruction. Twin Temple also serves the night, although they pursue it through completely different means. Instead of asking, like The Rolling Stones, for sympathy for the devil, they will force you to do a sinful dance to their infernal doo-wop.
We love to jump from one extreme to another, from retro to modern and even to the future of metal and rock. Brits from Wargasm will rock the stage with a cocktail of electro punk and nu-metal. Scowl is anger-driven hardcore from California. Iceland is represented by post-metal visionaries from Múr, and if you fly too far away with them, Denmark’s Nakkeknaekker will bring you down to earth with their full-blooded death metal.
