Mystic Festival 2024: Frustration, pain and love

Enter Shikari, Cage Fight, Dool and Hanabie will provide you with the whole spectrum of emotions – welcome to the Mystic Festival 2024 program!

Enter Shikari

Indie rock, post-hardcore, metal, electronica… You could go on for a long time enumerating, because Enter Shikari is a genre mix-fueled rocket that will take you to the skies. That’s where the Brits started, by the way, with their 2007 album “Take to the Skies”, which went gold in their homeland. The good run continues – the album “A Kiss for the Whole World”, released in the spring of 2023, turned out to be the band’s first number one on the UK sales chart. As one reviewer noted, this material proves that we are dealing with a band that “have consistently delivered nothing but fire, politically, socially, sonically, and ambitiously”.

Dool

Anyone who has listened to “Visions of Summerland”, the recently released live album by the Rotterdam-based quintet, must be impressed by its mesmerizing aura and powerful charge of – as Dool themselves put it – “frustration, pain and love”. In the spring, Raven van Dorst and their bandmates return with their third studio album, so we can expect both a return trip to the past as well as brand new sounds at the festival.

Cage Fight
You enter this cage at your own risk, and please do not complain afterwards that you were brutally knocked out. The project of guitarist James Monteith, known from TesseracT, and vocalist Rachel Aspe (ex-Eths) is a hardcore kick that turns out the lights. The band’s debut, simply titled “Cage Fight” (2022), impressed reviewers, but it wasn’t until their fantastic shows that they earned a reputation as one of the most serious new forces on the British extreme music scene.

Hanabie

Harajuku Core’s masters arrive from Tokyo to dazzle you with both sound and stage presence. Their album released earlier this year – “Reborn Superstar!” – is metalcore at its finest, not without electronic or even pop influences, which mutates into a live phenomenon. Not surprisingly, the last few months have been a triumphant march for Hanabie through the best clubs and festivals. The best, so Mystic Festival 2024 has to be included, too.

The Mystic Festival 2024 will take place at the Gdansk Shipyard from June 5-8.
